200kW Communal Biomass Heating System Scotland

200kW Communal Biomass Heating System Scotland

A 200kW biomass boiler was installed to heat multiple buildings on the beautiful farm estate of West Plean House near Stirling, Central Scotland.

The communal biomass heating system-(also known as a district heating system) had to provide enough heating and hot water for the main house, a cottage and also power the farm grain dryer.

We were required to construct an external building to house the large 200kW Heizomat wood chip biomass boiler and provide a fuel store to hold the wood chip fuel that feeds the biomass boiler. Buffer tanks were later installed to provide better efficiency of the district heating system powered by the 200kW Heizomat woodchip boiler.
