Ecovelocity first low carbon motor festival this weekend

From September 8th-11th, Battersea Power Stations’ grounds will play host Ecovelocity, the UK’s first low carbon motor festival, in assosciation with EDF. The show his hailed to be a celebration of eco-friendly driving, promising fun, education on the topic and opportunities for children to get involved with eco-driving.

Teaming up with the Metro newspaper, Ecovelocity promises various experiences from Segway rides to test driving cars from various manufacturers at the show. Children from the age of 5 will be given opportunities to try riding a restricted 50cc motorcycle, promising a ‘My First Honda License’ to all children who participate in order to encourage interest in the subject.

For the devout car lovers in attendance, there are plenty of highlights available to satisfy your need for supercars. Evelio – the Brisih built supercar that hits 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds – is one of the fastest electric vehicles – and cars in general – on the planet. The Lightning GT – a fantastic looking car that hits 0-60mph in under four seconds but is powered electrically will also be featuring at the show. More highlights can be seen here.
