‘Greenest Government ever’ claims not taken seriously
The EAC (Environmental Audit Committee) suggests that David Cameron’s claim about being ‘the greenest Government ever’ cannot be taken seriously courtesy of a planned review of tagets for halving emissions by 2025. Consequently, many companies are not investing enough in energy projects like solar and wind power.
A delay like this could leave the UK behind the rest of Europe in terms of renewable energy, leaving higher needs and costs for importing the required fossil fuels.
A Conservative member of the EAC, Zac Goldsmith, says,
“Unless [the government] provide real long-term certainty, the transition to a low-carbon economy will be slower and bumpier than it needs to be.”
Don’t wait around for the government to decide; take matters into your own hands. For any queries regarding your move to solar, contact AC Gold Energy on 01786 849099 or email@example.com.
