Scottish Green Energy Awards

On September 29th, The Scottish Green Awards took place in the Glasgow Science Centre. The awards, created by the Scottish Business Insider in association with their title sponsor Scottish Power, aim to pay homage to those who have made a conscious effort to impact the environment.

Winners include Jamie H Peters (Best Green Campaigner/Activist), First Scotland East (Best Green Large Company), Project Oskar (Best Green PR Campaign), Clachan and Craighead Primary Schools (joint winners of Best Green School) and The European Marine Energy Centre Ltd (Outstanding Contribution to the Scottish Environment.)

The Green Awards’ website states the views that prompted these awards;

“It is vitally important not to forget one of the world’s most pressing issues – our environment. With growing fears about the effects of global warming and the pollution it is becoming increasingly important for individuals, companies and organisations to do all they can to protect our fragile world.”

Follow in the footsteps of those involved in the awards and do your bit towards greener power.
